The playbook

How to sell. How to close.

One idea at a time. Read one lesson, use it on your next call.

Lesson 1

Prospecting

Your pipeline is your paycheck. Fill it every single day.

  • Block the same hour every morning for new conversations.
  • Sort leads A, B, C, D and spend your best energy on the A's.
  • Lead with their problem, not your product.

Lesson 2

The first conversation

People buy from people they trust. Earn it in the first minute.

  • Ask more than you tell. Listen for the real reason they took the call.
  • Repeat their words back so they know you heard them.
  • Agree on the next step before you hang up.

Lesson 3

Handling objections

An objection is a question in disguise. Welcome it.

  • Say "That makes sense" before anything else. Lower the temperature.
  • Ask what's really behind it. The first objection is rarely the last.
  • Answer the real concern, then check: "Does that solve it for you?"

Lesson 4

Closing

If you don't ask for the order, the answer is always no.

  • Close on the value you proved, not on pressure.
  • Ask a clear question, then stop talking.
  • A no today is information. Find out what would make it a yes.

Lesson 5

Follow-up

Most deals are won after the fifth touch. Most reps quit after two.

  • Every follow-up should bring something useful, not just "checking in."
  • Put the next date on the calendar while you're still talking.
  • Keep going until you get a yes or a clear no.

Lesson 6

Sales mindset

Discipline beats talent when talent doesn't show up.

  • Win the morning and you win the day.
  • Track your activity, not just your results.
  • Rejection is part of the job. Don't make it personal.
